Tkach sworn in for another term

Mar. 3—NORWALK — In typical Roland Tkach fashion, it wasn't long before he started to cry.

Tkach was emotional Thursday evening as he was sworn in as Huron County auditor by Huron County Common Pleas Court Judge James Conway.

As Tkach was sworn in, he put his hand on a Bible given to him by his grandmother and held by his wife, Dianne.

"I appreciate each and everyone of you," Tkach told all of his friends and staff. "I could never, ever do this by myself. Most importantly is my relationship with Jesus Christ ... I am one blessed guy.

"I am always here to answer your questions."

The event was held at the Norwalk License Bureau BMV.

Tkach is a member of the Wakeman Grange, Western Reserve Ruritan and Christian Motorcycle Association Buckeye Believers.

He also is on the boards o Abigail Pregnancy Center and the Firelands Federal Credit Union.

Roland and Diane live in Hartland Township.

He has been treasurer since 2007, replacing the late John Elmlinger.
