A spokesperson for the Tennessee National Guard said two people were on board for a training exercise at the time. When the caution light came on, the men decided to land as a precaution.

Briana Cooper, who lives across the street from where the helicopter came down, told News 2, “We’re just so thankful they didn’t crash into our house. It was scary, it was pretty loud.”

All crew members are safe, and a maintenance team was in route Friday afternoon to help them get back in the air.
