The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Blue Jacket Park.
The Harbor House of Central Florida is bringing over 350 Central Florida residents and their furry friends to enjoy a morning of fun and leisure while raising awareness about the impact of domestic abuse on pets and their owners.
Harbor House has an on-site kennel called ‘Paws for Peace,’ providing a safe place for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, guinea pigs, and more.
The organization also provides safe shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, and justice for domestic violence survivors and their children.
The ‘Paws for Peace Walk’ is a fundraising event that takes place annually to keep the kennel in operation and fund veterinary and kennel expenses for pets and their survivors in the short-term emergency housing at Harbor House.
At the event, pets will be the protagonists, as the theme is “4 Paws, 2 Feet, 1 Team”, which means dress up your pup in sporty attire.
Some activities include a doggie scavenger hunt, yoga with your pet, pet-focused vendors, and more.
