Today is: National Dress Up Your Pet Day
National Dress Up Your Pet Day is a day for people to dress up their pets, and the larger goal of the day is to raise awareness for pet adoption. The day was founded by Colleen Paige, who also started holidays such as National Dog Day and National Cat Day. She has said that all of her holidays "have the underlying goal to help save lives and give homeless animals as much exposure as possible."
Celebrate the day by dressing up your pet. Not only is the day for dressing up cats and dogs, but if you have a bunny, guinea pig, hamster, bird, or even a farm animal, you can dress them up too. It is important to make sure your pet is comfortable though.
