WATCH: SpaceX launches Starlink satellites with Falcon 9 rocket from Florida’s Space Coast

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida Space Coast on Friday.

11:50 a.m. update:

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket took off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 11:35 a.m.

The first stage of the rocket was also landed by SpaceX on its drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean after the launch.

9:45 a.m. update:

SpaceX is now targeting 11:35 a.m. for its planned Starlink launch.

The weather is around 40% favorable for liftoff for the updated launch time.

Channel 9 will continue to monitor the planned launch and will provide updates on Eyewitness News.

The rocket will aim to send another batch of Starlink satellites into orbit.

The 56 satellites are meant to provide internet in rural and hard-to-reach locations, worldwide.

Liftoff is scheduled for 9:56 a.m. from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
