Tornado watch issued for Delaware and other parts of Northeast through Monday night
Get ready because we might be in for a bumpy ride Monday.
Most of Delaware and other parts of the region could be hit with severe thunderstorms that could cause a tornado sometime Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Westampton, New Jersey.
Between 4 and 10 p.m., nearly all of Delaware will be at an enhanced risk of numerous severe thunderstorms that could bring heavy rain, localized flash flooding, damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph and a possible tornado, according to the NWS.
The NWS said there's also a marginal chance of isolated flash flooding in the southern parts of Delaware during the storm.
