When this toddler needed a heart transplant, he got a corridor of support to go with it
A toddler in need of a heart got a corridor full of cheers while heading into surgery.
As 15-month-old Mark Clouse Jr. was wheeled through the hospital to the operating room at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio, medical staff showered the little boy with applause, affection and soap bubbles.

"As a parent, you always want to take away whatever is 'hurting' your child and keep them out of harm's way," said Patience Clouse, Mark's mother." It's hard to know that it's something truly out of your control."
Baby Mark, who was born with a congenital heart defect, was placed on a transplant list about seven months prior after experiencing heart failure before the age of one.
"He is a true warrior," said Patience.
The surgery, which took place Jan. 19, was considered successful and Patience describes Mark as "bright, social, and always smiling."
"He loves being around others and he truly brightens anyones day," she said.
