Billy Hernandez-Alvarado, 9, and 8-year-old Ashley Hernandez-Alvarado were found safe Monday, according to the Toledo Police Department.

The Toledo Police Department sent out an endangered person advisory the brother and sister missing from the eastern Iowa town Sunday night.

Dan Quigley with Toledo Police said that the children were found within Tama-Toledo. The initial advisory said the children were believed to be with their mother. Officials would not confirm who the children were found with, but said that an investigation is ongoing and that charges will be determined later.
