Tom Brady is facing criticism after posting a video of himself cliff jumping with his 6-year-old daughter.

In a clip that the New England Patriots quarterback uploaded to Instagram from his family's vacation over the weekend, he stands at the top of a waterfall while holding hands with his daughter, Vivian. After pointing to a place in the water below that they were going to jump to, Brady counted down and jumped, but Vivian appeared to hesitate, which forced her father to pull her off the clip before she landed on top of him in the water.

"If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won’t be in synchronized diving," Brady joked in his caption. "Daddy always gives her a 10 though!"

While they both seemed unharmed after the jump, social media users called him out for the "irresponsible" stunt.

"You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father -- but this just gave me anxiety," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson commented.

"Absolutely the most stupid and dangerous thing for a 6 yr. old child to do. You should be ASHAMED," someone else wrote.

"Very irresponsible. You hit that water hard. He could have broken her arm when jumping," another user commented. "Holding on to her arm, it could have wrenched. Could have lost her hitting the eater. Really bad move. Very poor parental choice. Very shocked."

"Jesus Christ, Tom! Don’t scare us like that!" a subsequent reaction read. "You almost killed her before she had a chance to live."

Brady shares his daughter, Vivian, who was born in 2012, with his wife of ten years, Gisele Bündchen. They are also parents to son, Benjamin, 9. Brady also has an 11-year-old son named John, who he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.

The NFL star has yet to respond to the backlash that he received for the clip.
