Tom Cruise likes Sunset Place.

Believe it. The mega movie star popped in to a screening at AMC 24 for “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1” at the South Miami mall Tuesday night, shocking fans who apparently had no idea he was showing up.

Looking youthful as ever, in a white polo and jeans, the “Risky Business” icon took the mic and spoke to the cheering crowd, who had their cellphones at the ready.

The Syracuse, New York born actor, who turned 61 July 3, addressed the audience, first by complimenting the theater (yes).

“Wow, this is a big screen! I love this,” said Cruise, who owns a place in Clearwater, Florida, about four hours away. “This is what it’s made for, it’s made for you to watch this movie. It’s beautiful.”

Cruise then introduced his longtime collaborator, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie, who also wrote the script for last year’s blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick.”

“He’s tried to kill me several times,” joked Cruise, who is known to do his own stunts. “But I’ve lived so far, so that’s pretty good.”

“I have plans for the future,” McQuarrie deadpanned to laughs.

Cruise then turned serious, telling the folks there how appreciative he was that they left their couches and Smart TVs to see his seventh “MI,” in which he reprises his role as badass agent Ethan Hunt.

“I just want to thank you all very much for coming. We really do dream about these moments of sharing the film with you. So this is really very special,” he said. “We wanted to take time and just see you all. We think about you all while we’re making this movie and it’s really beautiful. Enjoy the film.”

Sunset Place, which one social media user noted is just down the road from a Scientology center, was the last stop in a four-city promotional tour for the showbiz vet.

All these surprise cameos appear to be giving this flick a boost. The spy thriller started its box office run with “a franchise best” $7 million in Tuesday previews, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
