Tom Daley and husband Dustin Lance Black have welcomed their second child together.

The Olympic diver shared the surprise baby news on Instagram, posting a sweet photo of himself and Dustin introducing their eldest son, Robbie, to his new baby brother.

Tom captioned the post: "PHOENIX ROSE BLACK-DALEY. Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he’s just perfect. Robbie is loving being a BIG BRO."

The couple were flooded with messages of congratulations for their new arrival, including one from Tom's diving partner Matty Lee, who wrote: "Can’t wait to meet him! Love you all."

Olympic track and field athlete Jazmin Sawyers commented: "CONGRATULATIONS!! Really happy for you all for your new life as a family of 4!"

RuPaul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage also shared the love, writing: "CONGRATS TO YOU ALL."

Tom and Dustin welcomed Robbie via surrogate back in 2018, with Tom later admitting that becoming a father was life-changing for him.

"I know everybody says, like, having a kid is their greatest achievement and I don't think anyone can understand what it feels like to hold your child for the very first time until you actually do it and it was amazing. Your perspective changes massively," he said at the time.

The couple planned to make a BBC documentary about their surrogacy experience and explore how it works in the UK, but it was scrapped earlier this year as Tom was unable to film due to "sporting commitments in the run-up to the 2020 Olympics."

A BBC spokesperson said (via Metro.co.uk): "Given the topicality of the subject and its exploration of the arguments for and against a change in the law, he agreed with the BBC it would have been impossible to complete the film in a satisfactory way that would have accurately reflected the situation at the time."
