Marvel's Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is a sophisticated and unpredictable villain who we've seen hating on his stepbrother Thor all the way through to the moment he seemingly died while trying to stop Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

But although it seems we may have seen him meet his maker in the movie, many Marvel fans believe he'll come back in Endgame, with one theory suggesting that he faked his death and the most popular theory suggests that time travel could help Loki's return.

Presuming he's not dead, back in November, it was reported that Loki would be getting its own series, and now Hiddleston's teasing us about whats to come even more by saying "it's definitely happening", though any ideas about the show are currently kept under wraps.

Speaking to Radio 2's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Hiddleston said: "We’re currently in the process of polishing up what it will be: the ideas, the story, the pitch. But it’s definitely happening."

He added: "Disney are launching a streaming service called Disney+, and I’m not sure exactly when that will be live, but anything that’s ever been made by Disney will be on that thing.

"So whether it’s The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars and Marvel and Pixar will all be part of that. So you’ll be wanting to subscribe."

Whether intentional or not, the Avengers star has also dropped a clue about the upcoming Endgame movie and Loki's destiny.

"It’s really exciting to do this series about Loki. I can’t say much, we’ve all got to get through Avengers: Endgame first."

So it looks like we're going to have to wait a little bit longer to see if Loki will pull it off again and come back from the dead and what that means for the new series.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in the UK and US on April 26, 2019.
