Three more upscale retailers and a Dallas-based Mexican restaurant are joining the growing list of retail and dining options at OAK in northwest Oklahoma City.

The 20-acre development, set to open next year, is already changing the skyline across from Penn Square Mall and 50 Penn Place as work proceeds on an eight-story, 132-room boutique Lively Hotel, a six-story, 320-unit apartment complex and an adjoining garage with ground-level retail.

Ryan McNeill, who is developing OAK with partner Everett Dobson, said Williams Sonoma, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, Pottery Barn and Mesero will be joining RH, Arhaus and Capital Grille at the mixed-use development

“We’ve been carefully listening to the community on the types of retailers and restaurants they want at OAK, and we’re proud to announce the latest lineup of best-in-class brands joining the project,” McNeill said. “With our sights set on next year’s grand opening, we’re proud to be another step closer to bringing an unequaled retail, residential and hospitality experience to OAK.”

What businesses are planned for the OAK development?

OAK’s first phase includes 135,000 square feet of retail surrounding a central greenspace with plans for more than 100 community events per year. A future phase includes 100,000 square feet of loft office space and an additional 85,000 square feet of retail.

Home furnishings retailer Pottery Barn, currently at Penn Square Mall, will be moving to a 12,420-square-foot store facing Pennsylvania Avenue south of NW 50.

Williams Sonoma is returning to Oklahoma City after closing its store at Penn Square Mall in 2020. The retailer will be opening a 5,500-square-foot store on the ground floor of the apartments looking out on the development’s grand lawn. The retailer, known for its kitchen and home goods, will include in-store cooking classes and tastings led by culinary staff at its new store at OAK.

Tommy Bahama’s new restaurant concept, the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, will become the first Oklahoma location for the brand’s hybrid dining and shopping experience.

The 8,000-square-foot space will be located on the ground-floor corner of the hotel and will include an expansive patio for indoor-outdoor dining that can be enclosed to accommodate the colder months.

The restaurant will feature a bar with signature cocktails and shareable food, while the store will feature Tommy Bahama men’s and women’s sportswear, activewear and swim collections, as well as home entertaining and decor items.
