TOMS RIVER, NJ — The food distribution in Toms River to families in need as a result of the coronavirus pandemic is continuing Friday, but with a few changes.

The emergency food kits, distributed in cooperation with Fulfill, are provided on a first come, first served basis. No registration is required.

The kits will be distributed beginning at 11 a.m. Friday; there will be two changes to the locations:

  • Walnut Street School is being replaced by the Toms River Presbyterian Church, 1070 Hooper Ave.
  • Ortley Beach distribution will be by delivery only.

Food kits also will be distributed at:

  • East Dover Elementary School, 725 Vaughn Ave.
  • Joseph A. Citta Elementary School, 2050 Lakewood Road
  • South Toms River Elementary School, 419 Dover Road

As recommended by the CDC, the food distribution is being conducted practicing social distancing and limiting interactions, and will be performed drive-through style. Families should remain in their vehicle at all times. Please keep your windows closed and pop the trunk and we will deliver the food to the trunk or truck bed.

In addition, Just Believe again will have two drive-through food distributions:

  • Friday: First Assembly of God Church, 800 Bay Ave., 2-4 p.m.
  • Saturday: Alive Again Alliance Church, 1060 Church Road, 10 a.m.-noon
