Renowned poker player Tony G took part in a jaw-dropping $1.8 million pot during a pot-limit Omaha cash game this week.
The hand is being described as the largest in online cash game poker history, with Tony G battling it out with casino owner Leon Tsoukernik.
The six-handed PLO cash game had blinds of 1,000/2,000 USDT with stacks ranging from $160,000 to $1.2 million.
Tony G and Leon found themselves being all-in pre-flop with A,A,6,9 against A,A,9,10 after a flurry of pre-flop raises.
The run out was a bit less spectacular than the pre-flop action, with the flop coming J,2,J with two hearts, giving Tony G a nut flush draw.
Think this is biggest online pot I have ever seen $1.8M all in pre AA9T @TonyGuoga v AA96 Leon @PokerroomKings – prev record was $1.3m @Patrik_Antonius V @ViktorBlom maybe this won’t count as pot was in crypto @CoinPoker_OFF 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/rEV9S4kHiW

The turn and river ended up being a two of spades and a four of diamonds, meaning that both players chopped the $1.8 million pot with a two-pair.
Previously, the largest hand of online poker was between Swedish high stakes player Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom and Patrik Antonius, who took part in a $1.3 million pot on Full Tilt Poker 13 years ago.
The venue for this latest high stakes hand was crypto-based Coin Poker, which allows users to play poker with USD Tether (USDT).
The platform also features a native token, CHP, which gives users exclusive benefits, including increased rakeback.
