Who took home awards from the Narragansett Regional outdoor track teams' annual banquet?
The Narragansett Regional boys and girls outdoor track teams celebrated the recently completed spring sports season with the teams’ annual awards banquet, Wednesday, at the Polish American Citizens Club in Gardner.
This spring, the Warriors sent three athletes — sophomore Ashlyn Duplessis and seniors Bearett Henderson and Kylie Marion — to compete at the Massachusetts All-State Meet of Champions. Lauren Coutu, a senior, and Duplessis also competed in the district pentathlon with the former finishing second and the latter taking 32nd place out of 48 participants.
In addition, the ’Gansett track teams had a combined eight athletes and a relay team named to the Mid-Wach League All-Star team. The athletes included Kayla Desrosiers, Marion, Ruby Keating, Coutu, Duplessis , Betty-Jo Caisse, Henderson and Zak Ramos. The 4x400 girls relay team was comprised of Ashley Kilbury, Abby Billiel, Keating and Leah Deane.
