Top 10 biggest concerts coming to Sioux Falls in 2023 from Matchbox Twenty to Kane Brown
It’ll be a busy year in Sioux Falls for music fans as a number of award-winning bands and artists are anticipated to hold shows across the city.
This year, a majority of those big name concerts feature country music. Six of the top 10 concerts include a country musician, with most of the top shows being held at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
The Denny Sanford Premier Center saw nearly 630,000 patrons come through its doors and generated about $16 million in total revenue through November for 2022. That topped the record of $14.3 million in 2019. The complex achieved greater profitability last year than any prior operating year, according to a news release from the facility.
Here's a closer look at 10 of the top artists planning to make a stop in Sioux Falls.
Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton, a country music superstar, will return to Sioux Falls as part of the Back to the Honky Tonk Tour. He will be joined with country singers Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean. Shelton is no stranger to Sioux Falls, and last performed in the city back in 2019.

Journey and Toto
Two popular bands from the '70s, Journey and Toto, will headline a show inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Journey formed in San Francisco in 1973 by former members of Santana, Steve Miller Band and Frumious Bandersnatch.
Toto, a Grammy Award winning band from California, will appear with Journey.

The Mountain Goats
Since the ‘90s, The Mountain Goats have been putting out folk music. The California-formed band has put out 21 studio albums, with Bleed Out being the latest release. Adeem the Artist, a country singer, will open for The Mountain Goats.

Kane Brown
As part of the Drunk or Dreaming Tour, Kane Brown, along with Dustin Lynch and LOCASH will perform inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center. Brown has previously played at the Denny Sanford Premier Center back in 2018 when he appeared with Chris Young and Morgan Evans. Brown, 29, from Tennessee bursted onto the scene in 2015.

Kenny Chesney
Another country star, Kenny Chesney, will take the stage inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center later this year. Chesney is no stranger to Sioux Falls and has appeared in 2015 and 2019. Kelsea Ballerini, a county pop singer, will open for Chesney.

Brooks & Dunn
Brooks & Dunn, a country music duo, will appear in Sioux Falls as part of their new REBOOT 2023 Tour. The duo has won 17 Country Music Association awards, 26 Academy of Country Music awards and two Grammys. Scotty McCreery, who won a season of American Idol, will open the show for the duo.

Matchbox Twenty
Following a rescheduling, Matchbox Twenty is planning to play in Sioux Falls this June. The band, which formed in 1995, has released four studio albums. It'll be the band's eighth tour.

Louis Tomlinson
Tomlinson, who got his start as a member of One Direction, has since turned to a solo project following the band's breakup in 2016. Outside of the boy band, Tomlinson appeared on The X Factor in 2015, when he also started his own record label. Since then, Tomlinson has released two studio albums. The Sioux Falls show will be a part of his Faith in the Future World Tour, his second tour as a solo act.

Alabama
Alabama, a country music band that formed in 1969, and had multiple number one hits, is hitting the road once again and are scheduled to appear inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center later this year. In 2019, the band was inducted to the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. The concert will be presented by South Dakota Cattlemen's Foundation.

Zach Bryan
Zach Bryan, a rising country musician, will make Sioux Falls a part of his "Burn Burn Burn North American Tour," and is scheduled to perform Aug. 14. Bryan is coming off a 2022, when he released "AMERICAN HEARTBREAK," which topped the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and Top 5 in the Billboard 200.
