Top 10 most vocal celebrities still backing Trump
President Trump boasted “the biggest celebrities in the world” would join him to help celebrate his inauguration four years ago.
He landed Toby Keith, the 90 1/4 u2032s rock band 3 Doors Down, and Jackie Evancho, a second-place winner on “America’s Got Talent" who was 16 years old.
Superstar singers Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Garth Brooks and Celine Dion all reportedly turned down invitations to perform. Rapper 50 Cent claimed he was offered $500,000 to simply show up.
Trump has since managed to alienate former famous fans Caitlyn Jenner, Jesse Ventura and NFL star Terrell Owens with his polarizing policies.
Meanwhile, Neil Young, Phil Collins and the estates of Prince and Tom Petty have demanded Trump stop paying their music at his campaign events.
Some celebs are still on the Trump train, however. Golf great Jack Nicklaus who holds the record for major championship victories, tweeted Wednesday that he had voted for Trump. The Golden Bear’s glowing endorsement caused many to frown on the 80-year-old.
Some other bold-faced names are still hanging in there. Here’s a look at 10 of the top celebrities still on Team Trump:
Kirstie Alley:
The “Cheers” and “Scream Queens” star temporarily defected from Trump’s camp in October 2016 after his “grab them by the p---y” confession surfaced on the Access Hollywood tape obtained by the Washington Post. But the actress confirmed in a new tweet two weeks ago that she not only voted for Trump in 2016 but plans to do so again.
“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician,” Alley tweeted Oct. 17.
“He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it,” the prominent Scientologist, 69, said.
No word yet on whether “Cheers” co-star Kelsey Grammer is joining her again this time around.
Grammer told PBS last year that he voted for Trump in 2016 and didn’t think the president’s divisive behavior was as “serious or horrible as everybody wants it to be.”
“I think the fabric being disrupted is a good thing,” he told veteran journalist Christiane Amanpour.
Scott Baio: The Brooklyn-bred former sitcom star has been a Donald disciple for years. In a YouTube video posted Monday, he urged voters to give Trump a second term and faulted Joe Biden for his support of “mandatory masks for the COVID.”
The “Happy Days” and “Charles in Charge” actor said he was “fed up” with masks.
Baio, 60, also slammed Biden’s plan to “put low-income housing into nice neighborhoods,” saying it would bring an unsavory “element of people.”
“Please get out, vote for President Trump,” he begged.
Kid Rock: A pioneer of the early country-rap genre, Kid Rock golfs with the president, hunts with Don Jr. and recently performed at a Trump rally in the metro Detroit area.
“In case anyone is not clear on how much I support our President…Myself and Don Jr have a rally tonight in Macomb County Michigan for his re-election,” Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, said in an Facebook post Sept. 14.
The singer said he had to get two steroid shots to manage his neck pain ahead of the show.
“Would make sense to cancel my appearance, but NO WAY! I will be there and will give it everything I have this evening,” he wrote. “That is how important getting POTUS re-elected is too me.”
Dean Cain: Best known for playing Clark Kent in the 90 1/4 u2032s TV series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” Cain became a staunch Trump supporter as soon as Ted Cruz dropped out of the race in 2016.
“He’s a fighter and a counter-puncher,” Cain said of Trump while appearing Monday on Everett Piper’s conservative podcast “The Rebellion.”
He said Trump’s “elementary school retorts” and “locker room talk” weren’t issues for him because the economy before the pandemic was strong, the U.S. is no longer part of the Paris Climate Agreement and Trump “hasn’t gotten us in any wars.”
Jon Voight: The “Deliverance” star and ardent Trump supporter delivered some fire and brimstone in a dramatic campaign video posted on his Twitter account Oct. 16. “Biden is evil,” he said. “Trump must win. He’s real.”
Referring to Democrats and the left as “deceitful,” the 81-year-old father of Angelina Jolie pleaded, “let us ask God to rid this horror.”
James Woods: The “Ghosts of Mississippi” actor regularly fires off dozens of political tweets a day, trash-talking Biden while breathlessly praising Trump, Fox News and First Lady Melania Trump.
He particularly likes FLOTUS’s “million megawatt smile.”
The longtime Republican was temporarily banned from Twitter in May 2019 for a political post that included the incendiary hashtag, #HangThemAll. Trump rushed to his defense, tweeting that the suspension was “very unfair!”
Stephen Baldwin: His brother Alec Baldwin famously parodies Trump on “Saturday Night Live,” but actor Stephen Baldwin hasn’t wavered in his support.
When his model daughter Hailey Bieber, wife of pop star Justin Bieber, showed her support for Biden in an Instagram post Oct. 10, he seemed to reference the political divide in a Twitter post later that day.
“Don’t talk much about family pray 4 everyone every day!” he tweeted with the hashtag #Trump2020.
Lil Pump: The “Gucci Gang” rapper endorsed Trump with an expletive-filled video shared with his 17 million Instagram followers Oct. 25.
“All I gotta say is Trump 2020 b---h,” Lil Pump said, citing his belief a second Trump presidency would be best for his bottom line.
His unexpected move to the MAGA column came after fellow rapper 50 Cent recanted a similar but short-lived endorsement saying, “F--- Donald Trump, i never liked him.”
Stacey Dash: The Bronx-born actress best known for playing Dionne Davenport in the 1995 teen movie “Clueless” didn’t get very far with her 2018 campaign to represent South Los Angeles in Congress, but she’s continued her political activism on behalf of Trump.
"You Mr President are indeed the least racist person. You talk the talk and walk the walk,” she tweeted at Trump last year.
She worked as a Fox News commentator from 2014 to 2017 and later claimed her Trump support got her “blacklisted” in Hollywood. Her Twitter bio lists the hashtag for the QAnon catchphrase “Where We Go One, We Go All.”
Kristy Swanson: The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress got in a Twitter war with comedian Kathy Griffin over her support of Trump’s border wall last year. She also claimed her life was threatened when she co-starred with Dean Cain in a pro-Trump play based on the text messages of two FBI agents who criticized Trump while working on the Russia investigation.
“An honor to meet you Mr. President,” she said in the caption to a Twitter photo showing her visiting the Oval Office.
“I am so proud of our President! He works his ass off everyday! He’s kickin ass and takin names! That’s what I voted for in 2016 and I’m gonna do it again,” she tweeted Tuesday.
