The Palm Springs Cultural Center presents live music at the VIP Lounge every week. Sunday brings Keisha D. to the stage for Soulful Sundays, followed by Mon Petit Salon on Monday and Leanna and the Jazz Collective on Tuesday. Note: Mon Petit Salon will be going on break for the rest of August after Monday's show.

Free Movies for the Kids

The Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission partnered with the Mary Pickford Theatre to present this free summer movie series for kids. This week, the theater will screen "Angry Birds 2."

First Wednesday Art Walk

Backstreet Art District's "First Wednesday Art Walk" will take place 5-8 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month.

The Palm Springs International Piano Competition, formerly known as The Waring, announces the Coachella Valley Repertory debut of Christopher Richardson. A three-time Waring winner (concerto and solo), Richardson comes fresh from his European concert tour and will perform Chopin, Liszy, Stravinsky, Hirtz' Fantasy on Arlen's Wizard of Oz, Can't Help Falling in Love and the Uehara Tom and Jerry Show.

MasterPiece MashUp Closing Night Reception

Street urban artist Tysen Knight presents his latest artwork in the "MasterPiece MashUp" exhibition. The closing night reception will include a screening of Knight's second documentary, "The Art Of Hustle: Homeless Street Artist."

The Rock Yard

The Summer Sing-A-Long series is finishing up with "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" this week. Start off the night with a happy hour upstairs in the VIP lounge with drink specials, Mildred's happy hour menu and episodes of "Schmigadoon!" The song leaders from the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will join the sing-a-long film.
