There are always plenty of things to do in the Coachella Valley. We've put together a list of events and entertainment happening this week.

Taste of Jalisco Festival

Sunday is the last day of the Taste of Jalisco Festival, so if you want to celebrate the music, food and culture of Cathedral City's sister city, now is the time. The four-day event honoring Jalisco, Mexico has live entertainment, food vendors, tequila tastings, carnival rides, arcade games and a beer garden. Entry to the festival is free, but those wanting to enjoy the carnival will have to purchase tickets.

When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5

Palm Springs Vintage Market

Looking to step into the past? This market features a slew of vendors selling authentic antiques that range from mid-century modern to vintage Americana. There will also be upcycled and other retro merchandise available for purchase, as well as food and entertainment to enjoy, and it all takes place outside the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

When: 7-8 a.m. ("first pick" admission) and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5

Intersect Palm Springs

Formally known as Art Palm Springs, the art and design fair will have a varied mix of modern and contemporary art gallery exhibitors. There will also be curated art spaces to check out, from "Art, But Make It Sports" to "Investigations: Zombie Forest." There will also be live poetry and other performances on opening night for VIP and All Access ticket holders.

'Hollywood Medium' Tyler Henry

Tyler Henry, the celebrated medium to Hollywood stars who most recently released the Netflix show "Life After Death with Tyler Henry," is bringing his live tour, “An Evening of Hope and Healing,” to the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on Friday. Come watch the beloved clairvoyant, who has conducted one-on-one readings with such celebrities as Sophia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Kim Kardashian, conduct live readings with members of the Morongo audience.

When: Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10

Penn & Teller

Tickets are still available for this one-of-a-kind magic show. Penn & Teller is known for their long Las Vegas residency, and they celebrated 47 years of performing together in 2022. The duo is bringing their magic to the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage on Friday.

Caliente Comedy: Jade Catta-Preta

Jade Catta-Preta, known for hosting "The Soup" on E! Network before the pandemic and now for hosting Hulu's new dating show "Hotties," will headline the comedy show at the Agua Caliente Casino this week. Catta-Petra is a Los Angeles-based comedian and actress who was born in Brazil and performs stand up in both English and Portuguese. Catta-Petra has appeared in a variety of television shows, including "Modern Family" and "American Housewife."

When: 8-9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10

Black History Expressions of Color and Brilliance Exhibit

To celebrate Black History Month, this exhibit will display work by three Black artists from the Coachella Valley. The artists involved are Denny Pascasio, Brittney S. Price and Tysen Knight, and their styles vary from mixed media and fine art to street art. The exhibit is open for three days, and you can reserve a spot for free.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Feb. 10-12

Brewfest Tailgate Party

Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City is hosting a tailgate party one day before the Super Bowl featuring a beer garden, food and a DJ. The event is free, but a $25 beer tasting package is available to purchase, which includes five drink tickets and a complimentary plastic beer mug. The next day, there will also be a watch party for the game.

When: 4-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 and 2-9 p.m. Sunday (watch party), Feb. 12

Dr. George Charity Car Show

The Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association will hold its 19th annual car show this week after a two-year hiatus during the pandemic. The event is a fundraiser, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Desert Cancer Foundation. There will about 1,100 cars on display with a variety of classic to modern sports cars. There will also be vehicles that were featured in Hollywood movies on display. The charity event will feature raffles, live music, food trucks and other vendors available. Tickets for entry will be sold at the gate.

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11
