Palm Springs Legends

The show will feature tribute artists portraying the many celebrities that are iconic to Palm Springs. Tributes of Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and more will take the stage at McCallum Theatre. Tickets for the show are still available with multiple seating options.

When: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1

OutBook Book Club

The book that will be discussed for the next club meeting is "The Prophets"by Robert Jones, Jr. The novel is about the secret intimacy shared between two enslaved men at a plantation. OutBook Book Club is supported by the Palm Springs Public Library and books are selected by group members.

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1

VillageFest

Every Thursday night, Palm Canyon Drive is closed to cars so pedestrians can browse the plethora of vendors that take over the space for VillageFest. The mix of merchants include flowers, food, art and jewelry for patrons to shop, as well as live entertainment to enjoy.

When: 6-10 p.m. every Thursday

El Paseo Art Walk

As part of First Friday El Paseo, the art walk will feature 15 fine art galleries that will host gallery exhibitions, artist receptions and more. People are free to roam the shopping district at El Paseo for this self-guided art tour. Participating stores will also have extended shopping hours for the night.

When: 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3

Taste of Jalisco Festival

The 7th annual festival that honors Jalisco, Mexico will have live entertainment, food vendors, tequila tasting and a beer garden. Entry to the festival is free and there will be tickets to enjoy a slew of carnival rides and games.

When: 4-10 p.m. Friday Feb. 3, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5

Desert Mountains Art Faire

Discover unique work from various mediums by local artists at the monthly Desert Mountains Art Faire. The event is located at the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center where you can enjoy the natural desert landscape as well.

Caliente Doo Wop & Sock Hop

The 2nd annual event celebrates the doo-wop music genre of the 1950s and '60s. There will be a costume contest with three cash prizes and Dancing with The Dreamboats and DJ Modgirl will supply the entertainment with music from that era.

Evolutionary History of the Tortoise

Learn about the evolutionary history of tortoises which are the ancestors of turtles. The event is free but it is required to RSVP for entry. Friends of the Desert Mountains hosts various educational lectures throughout the month, visit the online calendar to find more.

Certified Farmers Market in Palm Springs

Enjoy your weekend by spending a day shopping for fresh produce, bread and flowers at this outdoor farmers market. According to the website, all the farmers are state certified and provide food grown in California.

Street Fair at College of the Desert

Take a stroll through this street market and shop at boutiques featuring art, crafts, home decor, clothing and more. You can easily spend the entire day at at this event plenty of food vendors offering a variety of options to nibble on.
