Here are top 10 water users in Bucyrus according to payment amounts in 2023

The Bucyrus Utility Department named its top 10 water customers 2023 in a report to the City Council.

The top 10, which combined paid fees totaling more than $369,000 are:

  • Indiana Valley Apartments, $83,685

  • HCR Manor Care, $43,417

  • Timken Roller Bearing Co. , $41,473

  • IB Tech, $37,108

  • Crawford County Justice Center, $37,082

  • Avita Health Systems, $28,427

  • Bucyrus Blades Inc, $26,164

  • Bucyrus Hospitality, $24,806

  • Altercare of Bucyrus, $24,793

  • Hord’s Livestock Trailer, $24,272.

Shay Schnabel, Utility Department billing supervisor, also reported to City Council that the main achievements of the department in 2023 were online payment and phone payment introductions, including through PayPal, Venmo, Google and Apple Pay.

One of the main events in 2023 was a 3% sewer rate increase in August.
