Grand Prix of St. Petersburg: The streets will be buzzing as the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg returns with a 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary circuit that uses the streets circling Pioneer Park, the Duke Energy Center for the Arts and The Dalí Museum and extends onto the runways at Albert Whitted Airport. $25-$155. The Veterans Creative Arts Showcase: A showcase of works of fine art, music, writing, dance and theater from and by Tampa Bay area veterans. Produced in collaboration with the James A. Shear Madness: The hair salon whodunit enlists the audience to figure out the crime by following the clues and even questioning the suspects. “Visions of Nature: Voices of Nature”: Eckerd College holds this “Environmental Film Festival” to address subjects affecting the environment. Here’s the lineup:

• “A Common Sequence” (80 minutes): This experimental essay film, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, examines the question of whether anything still belongs to us in a world of patents and privatization. 7 p.m. Tuesday.

• “Hunt For Planet B” (93 minutes): This documentary interweaves the creation of NASA’s massive Webb telescope in 2021 with the story of a pioneering group of female scientists on a quest to find life beyond our solar system. 7 p.m. Wednesday.

• “Fire Of Love” (98 minutes): Drawing on years of documentary footage, this film chronicles the life and love of married volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft, who died in a volcanic explosion doing the very thing that brought them together. 7 p.m. Thursday.

• “Godland” (143 minutes): In the film, a young Danish priest is sent to a remote part of Iceland. The deeper he travels into the Icelandic landscape, the more he loses a sense of his own reality, his mission and his sense of duty. 7 p.m. Friday.

• “All That Breathes” (97 minutes): In the film, two Indian brothers fall in love with a bird: the black kite. From their makeshift bird hospital in their tiny basement, the “kite brothers” care for thousands of these creatures that drop daily from New Delhi’s smog-choked skies. 7 p.m. Saturday.
