Suncoast Jazz Festival: The 32nd annual event offers fans the chance to enjoy live performances from more than 80 jazz musicians. This year, the “purely jazz” weekend honors several top “legends of jazz” including Houston Person, John Lamb and Johnny Varro. The musical lineup also includes dozens of local, regional and national musicians ranging from New York’s Grammy-nominated pianist-vocalist-songwriter-radio host Judy Carmichael to New Orleans Jazz trumpeter and singer Kermit Ruffins and St. Petersburg’s beloved Nate Najar, Daniela Soledade and James Suggs. $40-$225. 11 a.m.-midnight Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Sanding Ovations: World champion sculptors return to show off their skills at this “Once Upon a Time”-themed beach-front festival with sand sculptures, music, fireworks (9:45 p.m. Saturday), a Suncoast World Remembrance Day Ceremony (9 a.m. Sunday), a beach food court, beer garden and arts and crafts vendors. St. Pete BikeFest 2022: Meet Orange County Choppers stars at this four-day motorcycle celebration with concerts by local and national acts, nightly bar crawls, vendors and a bike show. Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival’s A-List: Sunny Hall, TIGLFF’s board secretary and vice president of client services for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, is this month’s community programmer.
