Top 20 coaches poll: Where Tennessee ranks ahead of second game

Tennessee (0-1) will return to action Saturday at Kennesaw State.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. EDT.

The Vols lost to Ohio State, 12-10, Sept. 10 at Tennessee Rugby Park.

Tennessee entered its contest with the Buckeyes having not lost a game in 15s competition since Nov. 23, 2019. The Vols won the 2021 national championship.

“From a captains perspective, I can’t be prouder of the effort and toughness we played with,” Tennessee’s Josh Shetler told Vols Wire after playing Ohio State. “Lots of new guys in new positions and adjustments had to be made. Overall, it’s a good starting place for us to build on.”

The latest men’s Division I-AA National Collegiate Rugby Coaches Poll was released Tuesday. Below are rankings, including Tennessee.
