A Classic Theatre: 'Murderers'

Starting Jan. 28 and running through Feb. 6, this dark comedy lets audiences know not just who was murdered and who the murderer was, but why the murdered person deserved their fate. Presented by A Classic Theatre Inc. and staged at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, the performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Lace Up for Libraries 5K

Get in some exercise and help support local libraries throughout St. Johns County at the third annual Lace Up for Libraries 5K on Saturday, Jan. 29. The run starts at 8 a.m. at Nocatee Station Field in Ponte Vedra Beach, and the trail winds through neighborhood hiking and biking trails. The first 500 finishers will receive a commemorative medal.

Anyone who has heard Leo Kottke and his 12-string acoustic guitar will never forget his musical style that blends blues, jazz and folk. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee even awarded him an honorary Doctorate in Music Performance. Called “the consummate instrumentalist,” Kottke will be onstage at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30.

‘I Lived Here as Well: A Woman’s Story’

This living history presentation at the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum invites guests to step into a 223-year-old boarding house and experience the lives of the people who lived there. The tour, on Fridays and Saturdays from Feb. 3 to March 12, introduces women whose lives were restricted by the color of their skin, with some enslaved and some free. It’s a historical look at life behind the scenes in the 1800s.
