"Matilda the Musical": 7:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Capitol Theatre, 4:15 S. Family Fun Weekend: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. Sunday, Wylie Park. Storybook Land is celebrating providing 45 years of family fun with events including a movie, a watermelon feed, a princess and super hero party and a sand castle/sculpture contest. A Storybook Land 2-mile fun run is Saturday with registration at 9:30 a.m. and the race at 10 a.m. The kid's fishing contest is Saturday with registration at 1 p.m. at Wylie Lake and fishing from 1:30-3 p.m.

Aberdeen Area Pride Festival: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Red Rooster Coffee House, 218 S. Main St. Events include a solidarity walk from the Red Rooster to Aldrich Park at 1 p.m. Saturday; a "We're Here" panel featuring Erik Braley and Amy Rambow at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the Red Rooster; an all-ages drag show at 3 p.m. Saturday at Engels Event Center, 209 S. Main St.; an 18-plus drag show at 7 p.m. Saturday at Engels Event Center; drag lunch Bingo at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Red Rooster and a showing of the film  "Celluloid Closet" at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Red Rooster. History Alive!: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Centennial Village at Brown County Fairgrounds. Step back in time with historical re-enactors from Brown County’s past, family activities, programs, games and tours of the village. Hear stories about early immigrants, indigenous peoples and other Dakota Territory inhabitants and walk the village boardwalk to interact with live-action characters from Brown County’s past. Free and hosted by the Dacotah Prairie Museum. Concessions available.

Downtown summer concert featuring Xpedition: 7 p.m. June 16, Malchow Plaza, 506 S. Main St. Xpedition will be performing hits from Journey, Kansas, Foreigner, Styx and more during the first downtown concert of the summer. Free admission with concessions available.
