It's Valentine's Day weekend, as Jennifer Lopez-Owen Wilson romantic comedy "Marry Me" heads to theaters along with Kenneth Branagh's latest Agatha Christie adaptation "Death on the Nile" and Liam Neeson action movie "Blacklight." It's also a big week for new releases on streaming services, with "Marry Me" debuting simultaneously on Peacock, while fellow romantic comedy "I Want You Back" premieres on Prime Video and new films by acclaimed directors Steven Soderbergh, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Josephine Decker come out. Here are this week's highlights.

1. 'Kimi'

Oscar-winning "Traffic" director Steven Soderbergh's latest film, written by David Koepp ("Panic Room," "Jurassic Park") stars Zoë Kravitz as an agoraphobic tech worker who uncovers evidence of a violent crime. The premise sounds like a modern-day take on "Rear Window" or "Blow Out," and any new Soderbergh movie should be appointment viewing for film lovers – including those on HBO Max, which previously released his Meryl Streep-starring "Let Them All Talk" and crime film "No Sudden Move."

Where to watch: HBO Max on Thursday, Feb. 10

2. 'The Sky is Everywhere'

Josephine Decker's adaptation of the young adult novel by Jandy Nelson (who also pens the screenplay) follows a high school girl (Grace Kaufman) grieving the death of her older sister. Another YA film adaptation might not normally be noteworthy, but Decker's last two movies – psychological drama "Madeline's Madeline" and Shirley Jackson study "Shirley" – were both very strong, and "The Sky is Everywhere" has acclaimed indie studio A24 behind it as well.

Where to watch: Apple TV+ and limited release in theaters Friday

3. 'Jockey'

Clint Bentley's drama stars Clifton Collins Jr., in a welcome lead role, as an aging jockey who hopes to win one last title for his longtime trainer (Molly Parker.) "Jockey" premiered at last year's Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, earning positive reviews and a Special Jury Award for Best Actor for Collins. It's also up for two Independent Spirit Awards this year: Best Male Lead and the John Cassavetes Award, for films made with a budget of less than $500,000.

Where to watch: Limited release in theaters

4. 'Bigbug'

Oscar-nominated "Amélie" director Jean-Pierre Jeunet's first feature film in nearly a decade takes place in 2045, as a group of suburbanites in an increasingly artificial intelligence-reliant world suddenly find themselves locked inside during an android uprising. Jeunet's filmography – which also includes "Delicatessen," "The City of Lost Children" and "Alien Resurrection" – has varied in quality, but if his previous work is any indication, "Bigbug" should at least be visually dazzling.

Where to watch: Netflix on Friday

5. 'I Want You Back'

This romantic comedy stars Charlie Day and Jenny Slate as two recently dumped thirty-somethings who meet each other and hatch a plan to win back their exes. Along with two appealing leads in a cast that also includes Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood and Manny Jacinto, "I Want You Back" is directed by Jason Orley, who previously made the well-received Sundance entry "Big Time Adolescence," and written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger ("This is Us," "Love, Simon.")

Where to watch: Prime Video on Friday
