1. Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center presents the 44th Winter Living Celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 at Rogers Center, 2715 NY-80, Sherburne. This free family-friendly event will feature horse-drawn sleigh rides, a human bird feeder, snowshoeing, ice fishing, fire pits, S'mores, live ice sculpting demonstrations and an ice rescue demonstration. No registration is required to attend, but you can register for a time slot on the sleigh ride when you arrive or in advance by emailing info@friendsofrogers.org.

2. ‘Dinosaur World Live,’ an interactive show for the whole family, stomps into Utica. The show will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at The Stanley Theatre, 261 Genesee St., Utica. Meet a host of creatures, including Tyrannosaurus Rex, as well as a Triceratop, Giraffatitan, Mircroraptor and Segnosaurus. The show is 50 minutes and is not recommended for children ages 2 and younger. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, or by calling The Stanley Theatre Box Office at 315-724-4000.

3. The Utica Comets return home on Saturday, Jan. 22, to face the Syracuse Crunch at the Adirondack Bank Center, 400 Oriskany St. West, Utica. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at uticacomets.com.

4. Mountaineer and photographer Jonathan Zaharek presents a lecture at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at View, the Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge. Zaharek is a five-time 46er and a two-time Winter 46er. To celebrate the event, View is offering free admission to the galleries, lecture, and all other events on Saturday. During the lecture, Zaharek will discuss his passion for the outdoors and the meaning behind what it means to be a Winter 46er, the history and meaning behind these mountains, and his personal story. Stick around after the lecture to view Zaharek’s series, "The Winter 46." As part of the festivities, View will have an ice bar and a fire in their courtyard from 2 to 5 p.m. (fees required for all drinks). There will be access to View’s courtyard via snowmobile. At 3 p.m., View will feature a special extreme snowmobiling video series, "509 Films: Volume 15," on its big screen with giveaways, sponsored by Northeast Power Sports. 5. America’s favorite dance show, 'Dancing with the stars LIVE,' will return to the Turning Stone Event Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22. This year’s all-new production will feature fan-favorite professional dancers thrilling audiences with all of the dance styles seen on ABC’s hit show "Dancing with the Stars." Dancers include Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart and more. Ticket prices start at $35 and can be purchased in person at the Turning Stone Box Office, by calling 877-833-SHOW or at Ticketmaster. All ticketholders 12 years or older will be required to provide proof of vaccination to attend.
