Top Boy confirms final season release date in teaser trailer

Top Boy has released the trailer for its final batch of episodes, confirming the release date in the process.
Season 3 (although technically season 5, since Netflix retroactively markets the Channel 4 seasons under a different name) will be available to stream on Thursday, September 7.
The trailer is drenched in foreboding, intercutting slow shots of our characters looking pensive with scenes of weapons being loaded up and public protests creating an ominous calm before the storm atmosphere.

"Just know that we are f**king linked," Sully (Kane Robinson) tells Dushane (Ashley Walters). "If I fail, we don't make no money.... Ain't no going back from this one."
We do get some brief glimpses of action, as the community takes on the police, decked out in riot gear, while petrol bombs are thrown at cars.
Is everyone going to make it out alive? At the moment, we're leaning towards no. As the final line of dialogue in the trailer states, "That road don't end good."
In the midst of all of this, there's a brief glimpse of The Banshees of Inisherin and The Batman's Barry Keoghan as mysterious new character Jonny. He's one of two newcomers, alongside Peaky Blinders and Bad Sisters' Brian Gleeson, who is playing a character called Tadgh.

"For those that have followed the journey from the start, you will know how much this show means to everyone on our team and we wholeheartedly know how much it means to you," actors Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson said in a statement when the final chapter was announced.
"These characters have been a part of our lives for over a decade now and without everyone's support we couldn't have come this far."
Top Boy seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix now.
