Here are the top Central Minnesota high school athletes for May 11-17

Over the past week, some standout individual performances helped Central Minnesota high school sports teams. Here are some of the St. Cloud area's top performers from May 11-17.

Adapted softball

  • St. Cloud's Cyrus Heins had three hits and scored two runs in the 8-6 loss to North Suburban on Tuesday.

Baseball

  • Sartell's Steven Brinkerhoff and Tory Lund had big games in the 9-0 win over St. Cloud on Thursday. Brinkerhoff went 1-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs, while Lund pitched a complete game giving up two hits, zero runs and five strikeouts.

  • St. Cloud's Truman Toenjes pitched 3.1 innings giving up three hits, zero runs and three walks in the 9-0 loss to Sartell on Thursday.

  • Sauk Rapids-Rice's Ethan Swanson threw three innings and gave up two hits, zero runs, three walks and four strikeouts in the 4-2 loss to Becker on Friday.

  • Albany's Blake Winkels and Brandon Holm each pitched four innings each in the 4-2 loss to Foley in nine innings on Friday.

  • Sartell had four players that exceled in the 18-6 win over Bemidji on Friday. Jacob Merrill, Kade Lewis and Gavan Schulte each had three RBI's, while Steven Brinkerhoff had four RBI's. Lewis finished with two home runs and Brinkerhoff had one.

  • Sauk Rapids-Rice's Alex Harren went 2-for-4 with four RBI's and a home run, while Noah Jensen pitched four innings giving up two runs and six strikeouts in the 9-4 win over Detroit Lakes on Monday.

  • Cathedral's Cooper Kosiba went 2-for-4 with two runs and four RBI's, while Talen Braegelman pitched five innings allowing two hits, one run and nine strikeouts in the 13-2 win over Mora on Monday.

  • Albany's Brady Goebel threw six innings for the win on the mound in the 3-0 win over Eden Valley-Watkins on Monday.

  • Sauk Rapids-Rice's Cullen Posch pitched five innings giving up two hits, one run and five strikeouts in the 9-3 win over Brainerd on Tuesday.

  • Sartell's Wesley Johnson threw six innings allowing seven hits, one run and five strikeouts in the 5-3 win over Becker on Tuesday.

  • Cathedral's Tommy Gohman pitched six innings giving up five hits, one run and three strikeouts in the 3-1 win over Little Falls on Tuesday.

Boys golf

  • Albany's Zac Kreuzer shot an 80 in the Ken Helling Tournament on Thursday as the Huskies finished fourth out of 10 teams.

Girls golf

  • St. Cloud's Elena Sobalvarro and Kendall Dvorak shot an 88 and 89 in the Central Lakes Conference Championship on Tuesday as the Crush finished fifth out of eight teams.

Boys lacrosse

  • Sartell/Sauk Rapids' Aiden Hilger scored five goals in the 9-9 tie against St. Cloud on Thursday.

  • St. Cloud's Connor Wavrin and Joe Torborg each had four goals in the 12-9 win over Becker on Tuesday.

Softball

  • Cathedral's Katherine Bell had 5 RBI's and a two-run home run, while Ella Voit struck out 11 batters in the 10-0 win over Little Falls on Friday.

  • St. Cloud Elise Hausmann hit a grand slam and Autumn Orcutt also hit a home run in the 8-7 loss to Monticello on Friday.

  • ROCORI's Madison Terres went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI's, while Shelby Prom pitched 5.2 innings giving up two hits, zero runs and nine strikeouts in the 7-4 win over Bemidji on Saturday.

  • ROCORI's Shelby Prom pitched four innings giving up three hits, one run and six strikeouts in the 7-0 loss to Bemidji on Saturday.

  • Sauk Rapids-Rice's Chloe Reiter and Campbell Arndt each had three RBI's in the 15-7 win over Detroit Lakes on Saturday.

  • Albany had a trio of players contribute to the 12-2 win over Sauk Centre on Monday. Alyssa Sand had four RBI's and a home run, while Allie Thelen had three RBI's and a home run. Hallie Hoffarth threw five innings giving up four hits, one run and six strikeouts.

  • Sartell's Alissa Ahrndt went 2-for-3 with three RBI's, while Danica Sarff pitched a complete game allowing two hits, one run and 13 strikeouts in the 10-3 win over St. Cloud on Tuesday.

  • Sartell's Megan Driste went 3-for-5 with three RBI's in the 10-5 win over St. Cloud on Tuesday.

  • ROCOR's Madison Terres had three RBI's and a home run, while Shelby Prom threw five innings giving up three hits, one run and nine strikeouts in the 9-1 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday.

  • ROCORI's Madison Terres and Shelby Prom each had three RBI's and Terres added a home run, while Jenna Boos threw five innings giving up two hits, one run and four strikeouts in the 18-2 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday.

  • Cathedral's Rachel Dingmann had three hits, three runs and five RBI's, while Rachel Voit had three RBI's in the 16-0 win over Foley on Tuesday.

  • Albany's Shelby Horning went 1-for-3 with three RBI's in the 11-1 win over Mora on Tuesday.

  • Albany's Audrey Rieland had three runs, five RBI's and a home run, while Shelby Horning had three runs and three RBI's in the 16-1 win over Eden Valley-Watkins on Tuesday.

  • There were some top performances at the Granite Ridge Conference Championship meet on Tuesday in Little Falls.

    • Cathedral's Hope Schueller earns first in the 100-meter dash (13.04) and first in the 200 dash (26.93).

    • Cathedral's 4x200 relay earns first (1:50.25): Erika Salaski, Ellie Pelzel, Julia Vega and Hope Schueller.

    • Albany's Olivia Goebel earns first in the 1600 run (4:59.56) and first in the 3200 run (10:41.81).

    • Cathedral's Henry Ebel earns first in the 1600 run (4:29.57).

    • Cathedral's Jacob Eickhoff earns first in the 400 dash (51.37) and first in the 200 dash (23.25).

    • Cathedral's Emanuel Kutzera earns first in the 300 hurdles (41.97).

    • Cathedral's Turner Schad earns first in the 800 run (1:58.97).

    • Albany's Carter Schwalbe earns first in the 3200 run (10:34.12).

    • Cathedral's 4x400 relay earns first (3:29.90): Henry Ebel, Andrew Uy, Turner Schad and Jacob Eickhoff.

  • There were top performances in the Alexandria Invite on Tuesday.

    • ROCORI's Vincent Kaluza earns first in the 3200 run (9:45.60).

    • Sartell's Josh Orjansen earns first in the boys high jump (5-10).

    • ROCORI's Joshua Johnston earns first in the boys pole vault (12-00).

    • Sartell's Anthony Mahowald earns first in the boys triple jump (40-07).

    • ROCORI's Cecelia Woods earns first in the 400 dash (59.78) and first in the 100 hurdles (14.74).

    • Sartell's Madalyn Dockendorf earns first in the 1600 run (5:24.26).

    • ROCORI's 4x200 relay earns first (1:48.76): Chloe Nelson, Kate Van Erp, Jordyn Wild and Jada Bierschbach.

    • ROCORI's 4x400 relay earns first (4:16.63): Cecelia Woods, Kate Van Erp, Jada Bierschbach and Chloe Nelson.

    • ROCORI's Ava Thoennes earns first in the girls long jump (16-11.50).
