The most popular international destination among American travelers in early 2015 is Puerto Rico, according to online booking site Priceline.com.
After looking at advance hotel bookings for 2015, the online travel site has come up with a list of the top international and domestic destinations among US travelers.
And it appears travelers are more interested in soaking up the sun than carving snow on the ski slopes as Puerto Rico topped the international list, while southern, sun-washed cities dominated the US list.
The list also provides a ranking of the most affordable US cities in 2015 based on average daily room rates. For budget-conscious travelers interested in staycations, consider Dallas, Texas, Salt Lake City, or Orlando, where the average room rates clock in between $86 and $90.
