Top Kentucky basketball recruiting links: Alex Legion’s brother is now a star recruit

Kentucky basketball fans will surely remember Alex Legion, the highly touted recruit who signed with the Wildcats in 2007 and played on Billy Gillispie’s first UK team. Legion, who was the No. 38 overall player in the 2007 class, according to the RSCI rankings, ultimately played only six games for the Cats before transferring to Illinois.

Now, Legion’s little brother is a star basketball recruit.

Braelon Green is considered to be the No. 46 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He grew up in Detroit and recently transferred to the Southern California Academy. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard already has scholarship offers from Kansas, Michigan State, Southern Cal, Alabama and several other schools, with Louisville and Virginia apparently showing major interest. He’s scheduled to take his first official visit to Michigan State this weekend.

Pro Insight has an in-depth Q&A with Green, who talks about his family, his growing game, his recruitment and his long-term goals. Be sure to check it out.
