Reed Sheppard and the North Laurel Jaguars will be back in the Lexington area Saturday night.
Sheppard, who is UK’s only basketball commitment so far for the 2023 class, will play in the Dan Cummins Classic at Scott County High School at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The Kentucky recruit scored his 2,500th career point in a 91-60 victory over Jackson County on Wednesday night.
North Laurel is No. 6 in the state and No. 1 in the 13th Region in the latest Cantrall Rankings. Scott County is not ranked.
