In 2017, when Washington wide receiver John Ross set the 40-yard dash record with a 4.22-second performance, Ohio State wide receiver Curtis Samuel ran the fastest 40 by a Buckeye since 2000 with a 4.31-second finish. Wide receiver Parris Campbell matched Samuel in 2019, tying for the third-fastest 40 time of any NFL combine participant.

Fourteen Ohio State players have recorded more than 30 bench press reps including defensive end Vernon Gholston, who tied with Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long with a combine-high 37 in 2009.
