Top performers in basketball from last week in the Texas Panhandle

Here are the best of the best from the last week of girls and boys high school basketball action in and around the Panhandle.

Kinslee Millican and Jaylee Moss, Canyon

Both players scored 10 points each in a win over Nazareth. Canyon is 4-2 on the season.

Iris Schilderink, Nazareth

In a 39-24 loss to Canyon, Schilderink put up 10 solid points.

Rhoda Buckley, Pampa

It was a good week for Buckley as she scored 18 points in an overtime win against Groom and 17 against Memphis lat Tuesday. The Lady Harvesters are now 4-2 to start the year.

Lucy Richards, Vega

Richards has been on fire to start the year and she had another great performance in the Lady Longhorns' first win of the season last week. She scored 25 against White Deer last Tuesday.

Kamryn Cox and Rylee Schacher, Dumas

In a 56-46 win over Happy, Cox scored 26 points while Schacher had 13 points and nine steals.

Danner Price, Sanford-Fritch

Price was a man on fire last week as he put up 30 points and 18 rebounds against Highland Park and 37 points in a win over Friona.

Rylee Webb, Kress

Webb was excellent in getting Kress off to a 3-1 start. She had 12 points and four assists in a win over Morton, 16 points with three steals and five assists in a win over Lockney and 17 points in the win over Ralls.

Elias Espino, Texline

Espino continues to add to his impressive career accomplishments. He had 32 points in a win over Boys Ranch.

Jayden Trusler, Dalhart

The Lady Wolves are off to a 6-2 start thanks in part to Trusler's efforts. She had 22 points in a 41-36 win over Perryton last week.

Julian Alonzo, Pampa

Alonzo put up 17 in a three-point victory over Plainview.

Ivory Shelby, Friona

Though Friona was on the wrong side of a lopsided defeat to Floydada, Shelby was outstanding as she scored 22 of her team's 36 points.

Swayde Cleavinger, Wildorado

Cleavinger scored 15 points to lead the Mustangs to a win over Claude.

Addison Bell, Stratford

Bell led the Lady Elks with 12 points in a win over Wildorado.

Audi Luckey, Palo Duro

Luckey scored 29 points in a win over Rio Rancho and is averaging 27 points per game. The Dons are 3-1 to begin the year.

KJ Thomas, Randall

Thomas scored 23 points in a win over Caprock.

Anthony Gonzales, Caprock

Gonzales scored 23 points in a loss to Randall.

Maddox Miller, Follett

Miller scored 29 points in a loss against Gruver.

McKenzie Smith, Amarillo High

Smith has led the way for the Lady Sandies early and the result is a 9-1 start. She scored 19 in a win over San Angelo Central and 26 in a win over Lubbock High last week.

Sadie Sanchez, Randall

Sanchez has been sensational to begin the year. She had 14 points in a win over Spearman.

Varah Vaughn, Sanford-Fritch

Fritch won both its games early last week and Vaughn led the way in both contests. She scored 15 points in both as SFHS is off to a 7-0 start.

Jordan Malone, River Road

Malone scored 28 points in a win over Highland Park last week.

Aubrey Devlin, Hereford

Devlin scored 16 points in a win over Milsap and 12 against City View.

Kaden Jeter, Friona

Friona lost both its games last week, but Jeter did everything he could in both contests. He scored 24 of the team's 39 points against Floydada and 34 of the 38 against Kress.

Grant Blackwell, Boys Ranch

The Roughriders went 0-2 last week, but Blackwell had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Texline and 19 points with 15 rebounds against Borger.

Braden Hausen, Cooper Pillon and Zack Brown, Amarillo High

Two more big efforts by the Sandies' big three. Against Rio Rancho, Pillon had 10 points, Hausen had 18 and Brown had 22. Against Lake Dallas, Pillon had 20, Hausen had 24 and Brown had 12.

Ivan Moreno, Dimmitt

Moreno had 34 points in a close loss to Dumas.
