Wrestling

Sierra Chiesa, Northwestern: The sophomore, a returning gold medalist in the state's girls tournament, won her first title in a PIAA-sanctioned boys postseason event when she finished first in the 107-pound weight class for the Section 1-AA meet at Meadville.

Rocky Kowle, North East: The freshman's postseason debut was a first-place effort in the 114 division of the Section 1-AA tournament.

Conner McChesney, Fort LeBoeuf: The junior was a Section 1-AA tournament gold medalist for the third time in as many years when he finished first at 172 pounds.

Hudson Spires, General McLane: The sophomore became a postseason gold medalist for the first time when he won the 145 weight class at the Section 1-AA meet.

Story Buchanan, Girard: The junior upped his season record to 32-0 when he won the 152 championship match for the Section 1-AA tournament at Meadville.

Ethyn Allen, Corry: He topped the 189 field during the Section 1-AA tournament at Meadville.

Logan Sallot, McDowell: The senior's first postseason title happened thanks to a 17-2 technical fall in the 114 championship match for District 10's Class 3A tournament at Meadville.

Sam Staab, Cathedral Prep: The senior became a three-time District 10 Class 3A gold medalist with his firs-place performance in the 127 field.

Boys basketball

Nando Mirarchi, McDowell: The freshman's 12 points, which included a 9-of-10 effort at the foul line in the fourth quarter, highlighted the Trojans' exciting 43-37 victory vs. the rival Cathedral Prep Ramblers.

Zach Scott, Fairview: His 11 points following senior night festivities helped the Tigers defeat the visiting Mercyhurst Prep Lakers 44-30. ... Ahead of that outcome, his 14 points, eight assists and five steals also helped the Tigers to a 52-44 victory at Erie First Christian.

Willie Shunk, North East: The Grapepickers defeated Seneca 67-53 in part because of his 17 points.

Nick Krahe, Harbor Creek: The Huskies' huge center recorded a double-double (19 points and 11 rebounds) during the team's 50-43 victory vs. General McLane.

Avery Collins, Erie First Christian: The Eagles soared to a 53-37 win against Northwestern with the aid of his 21 points.

Bryce Drayer, Union City: His team-record eight 3-pointers comprised the bulk of the 33 he totaled amid the Bears' 72-39 victory vs. the Maplewood Tigers.

Andreas McCullum, Erie High: His 20 points were pivotal to the Royals' 75-66 victory vs. Meadville. ... That scoring total was actually overshadowed by his 30-point performance which highlighted the Royals' 89-40 win against Fort LeBoeuf earlier in the week.

Josh James, Union City: He converted three 3-pointers amid his total of 13 points when the Bears beat Youngsville 55-35.

Jake Sambuchino, Cathedral Prep: His 19 points helped the Ramblers to their comfortable 68-44 victory over Harbor Creek.

Demetris Crosby, North East: The Grapepickers won 54-49 at Mercyhurst Prep in large part because of his 19 points.

Connor Dorr, Northwestern: His mammoth 32-point performance highlighted the Wildcats' 81-67 win over Iroquois.

Markus Lambert, Corry: He recorded 33 points for the Beavers, who outlasted Titusville for a 71-64 overtime victory.

Girls basketball

Olivia Kulyk, Mercyhurst Prep: She surpassed 1,000 career points, despite her junior status, with a 23-point performance during the Lakers' 59-38 win at Eisenhower. ... Ahead of that history, she recorded more than half of the points for the Lakers (26) when they beat North East 50-38 in the home finale for their regular season.

Lauren Konkol, Seneca: She totaled 13 points for the Bobcats when they beat the Titusville Rockets 51-23.

Gracie Belfiore, Iroquois: She scored 15 points for the Braves, who beat the Girard YellowJackets 33-20.

Addie Biel, Cathedral Prep: The Ramblers clinched first place in District 10's Region 6 standings thanks to her 16 points during their 49-26 victory vs. Harbor Creek.

Finn Jensen, Fairview: He was a four-time winner when the Tigers defeated General McLane 130-41.

Tanner Pike, Union City: He was a four-time victor for the Bears, who beat Iroquois 123-11. ... He also contributed individual (50-yard freestyle) and relay (400 freestyle) victories to the Bears when they beat the Girard YellowJackets 91-70.

Levi Ehrhart, Corry: He was a triple winner for the Beavers when they defeated Girard 78-53.

Mason Currier, North East: The four-time winner for the Grapepickers highlighted their 76-32 dual win over the rival Harbor Creek Huskies.

Catrina Miller, General McLane: The star of the Lancers won three times during a 100-86 dual victory over Fairview that helped them clinch first place in District 10's Region 2 standings.

Grace Wilson, Union City: She swept the distance freestyle races for two of her three victories when the Bears beat Iroquois 85-79.

Alli Goodwill, Corry: Her four victories were vital to the Beavers' 84-71 dual win against the Girard YellowJackets. ... The Beavers' previous meet saw her finish first for each of her four events when they tied the Harbor Creek Huskies 86-all.

Claire Gebhardt, McDowell: She won three times for the Trojans during their 252-23 dual defeat over Erie High.

Rylee Vogt, Harbor Creek: She anchored the Huskies' 400-yard freestyle relay whose victory assured her team an 83-70 dual win against North East. ... Although she was the lone individual victor for the Huskies (50-yard freestyle), she still helped them tie Corry 86-all.

Haley Palmer, Cathedral Prep: The Cleveland State recruit won her maximum four events when the Ramblers beat the rival McDowell Trojans 126-60.

Katherine Quinn, General McLane: Her four wins highlighted the Lancers' 127-55 dual victory vs. the North East Grapepickers.

Baileigh Marino, Girard: The YellowJackets needed each of her four wins when they edged the Union City Bears 85-83.

Girls bowling

Elena Kacprowicz, Cathedral Prep: Her team-high 636 series was part of the Ramblers' dramatic playoff victory vs. McDowell for the Metro League championship and a team berth in the state's western region tournament.

Hockey

Brayden Sprickman, Cathedral Prep: He scored or assisted on each of the Ramblers' goals when they beat Canon-McMillan 4-2 at Erie Bank Sports Park.

Boys indoor track and field

Ray Jackson, McDowell: He landed at 21 feet, 5 inches for first place in the long jump during a Tri-State Track and Field Coaches Association meet at Edinboro University.

Luke Brown, Cathedral Prep: The George Mason University recruit lowered the school record in the 1,600 meters to 4 minutes, 17.99 seconds when he won that event during the Northeast Ohio Indoor Track and Field Coaches Championships at the S.P.I.R.E. Institute.

Girls indoor track and field

Sarah Clark, Cathedral Prep: She lowered the school record in the 3,200 meters to 10 minutes, 55.60 seconds during the Northeast Ohio Indoor Track and Field Coaches Championships at the S.P.I.R.E. Institute in Geneva.
