Top Shreveport-Bossier area high school performers for March 6-10

The battle for supremacy by high school athletic teams in Northwest Louisiana continues, and several area athletes have had memorable performances.

Here’s a look at some of the standout performances by Shreveport-Bossier City area athletes sent to The Times this week by area coaches.

Friday

Baseball

Shawn Driggers, Parkway: Driggers picks up a complete-game win with 10 strikeouts and six walks over seven innings in a 10-3 win over Central.

Brandon Levy, Parkway: Levy was 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored.

Barrett Newman, Parkway: Newman had a double and three RBI in a win.

Austin Anderson, Haughton: Anderson scored the winning run on a balk against Glenbrook.

Brogan Walker, Haughton: Walker pitched a perfect seventh to record his second consecutive save against Glenbrook.

Softball

Meaux Carroll and Emersyn Disotell, Benton: Both players had a home run and two RBI in a loss to Airline.

Sophia Rivers, Benton: Rivers was 2-for-3 with a home run in a loss to Airline.

Brooklyn Horton, Evangel: Horton went 3-for-5 in an 11-4 win over Dunham.

Holly Hanks and Madison Hooten, Evangel: Both players went 2-for-4 in a win.

Cole Jackson, Caddo Magnet: Jackson won the 300-meter hurdles in 45.27 seconds.

Dillon Burgess, Captain Shreve: Burgess won the 100 in 11.34.

Coren Hill, Captain Shreve: Hill won the 400 in 54.03.

John Solomon, Huntington: Solomon won the long jump in 20 feet, 1/2 inch

Franklin Roemer, Loyola: Roemer won the 1600 in 4:32.56 and the 3200 in 9:45.46.

Darien Jones, Southwood: Jones won the 200 in 23.17.

Girls

Janayah Dotson, BTW: Dotson won the 100 in 13.28 and the 200 in 27.11.

Jenna Key, Byrd: Key won the 3200 in 11.37.

Elizabeth Payne, Byrd: Payne won the 800 in 2:36.22.

Madison Adcock, Captain Shreve: Adcock won the 1600 in 6:12.89.

Demetria Harris, Huntington: Harris won the long jump with a leap of 18-2.

Yoshua Washington, Southwood: Washington won the 400 in 1:02.96.

SheLunda Brooks, Woodlawn: Brooks won the shot put with a 29-8 throw.

Tuesday/Wednesday

Baseball

Judson Funderburk, Calvary: Funderburk went 3-for-3 and scored a run in a 6-2 loss to Glenbrook.

Turner McLelland, Glenbrook: McClelland was 2-for-2 with three runs scored in a 6-2 win over Calvary.

Austin Anderson, Haughton: Anderson moved to 3-1 with an eight-strikeout performance against Glenbrook.

Colin Rains, Haughton: Rains hit a three-run home run.

Zach Ross, Haughton: Ross offered a pair of RBI sacrifice flies in a win.

Robert Ashley, North DeSoto: Ashley was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a 12-2 win over Oakdale.

Braden Richardson, North DeSoto: Richardson was 2-for 3 with two RBI in a win.

Brandon Levy, Parkway: Levy went 4-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs scored in a 13-3 win over Sterlington.

Zach Schoenborn, Parkway: Schoenborn was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win.

Abel Thetford, Parkway: Thetford was 3-for-4 with two RBI in a win.

Softball

Paige Marshall, Airline: Marshall hit a home run in a 3-1 win over Haughton.

Emily Rachel, Airline: Rachell posted 10 strikeouts in a win.

Baylee Blackburn, Calvary: Blackburn was 2 for 3 with a home run in a 15-0 win over Stanley.

Carlie Guile, Calvary: Guile posted 17 strikeouts and was 2-for-3.

Ramsey Walker, Calvary: Walker hit a grand slam against Stanley.

Elexa Beaudoin, Captain Shreve: Beaudoin was 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored in a 21-2 win over Southwood

Nora Falcon, Captain Shreve: Falcon had a pair of doubles, three runs scored and two RBI in a win.

Kraegan Jordan, Converse: Jordan was 2-for-3 with a triple, home run and two RBI in an 11-1 win over Loyola.

KC Murray, Converse: Murry was 2-for-3 with two RBI in a win.

Landry Atkins, Logansport: Atkins hit two home runs and had three RBI in a 6-3 win over Zwolle.

Madison Magee, Logansport: Magee was 2-for-4 in an 8-5 win over Negreet.

Ainsley Morvan, Logansport: Morvan was 3-for-4 with a home run.
