Wrestling

Berlin Brothersvalley 52, Conemaugh Township 10: In Berlin, the Mountaineers rolled to a victory.

Cruz Rodriguez, Landon Ulderich, Grant Fisher, Logan Webreck and Carter Twombly picked up falls for Berlin. Grant Mathias and Braden Burst won by technical fall.

Colten Huffman won by major decision for Conemaugh Township.

Dec. 21

Boys basketball

Conemaugh Township 64, Ferndale 21: In Davidsville, Tanner Shirley scored a game-high 23 points, including five 3-points to lead Conemaugh Township past Ferndale.

Declan Mainhart tallied 10 points for Conemaugh Township.

Windber 67, Conemaugh Valley 46: In East Taylor Township, Tanner Barkley netted 17 points as the Ramblers upended the Blue Jays.

Grady Klosky contributed 15 points while John Shuster added 11 points and Evan Brady tallied 10 for Windber.

Forest Hills 66, Somerset 50: In Sidman, Jeremy Burda scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Rangers over the Golden Eagles.

Luke Housley dropped 15 points while Aiden VanLenten added 12 for Somerset.

North Star 61, Blacklick Valley 50: In Nanty Glo, Brady Weimer netted 20 points to guide the Cougars past the Vikings.

Ethan Smith tallied 14 points while CJ Biery contributed 13 points and Ethan Eller chipped in 10 for North Star.

Salisbury-Elk Lick 59, Shanksville-Stonycreek 33: In Salisbury, Daulton Sellers poured in a game-high 32 points as the Elks topped the Vikings.

Lance Jones added 15 points for Salisbury.

Christian Musser paced Shanksville with 15 points while Logan McCall chipped in 10.

Berlin Brothersvalley 70, Tyrone 45: In Tyrone, Craig Jarvis produced a game-high 32 points, including eight 3-pointers as the Mountaineers bested the Golden Eagles.

Pace Prosser tallied 19 points while Ryan Blubaugh scored 12 for Berlin.

Girls basketball

Windber 44, Conemaugh Valley 23: In East Taylor Township, Harmony Jablon tallied 10 points to guide the Ramblers past the Blue Jays.

Lexie James scored nine points for Windber.

Shade 53, Ferndale 42: In Johnstown, Jenna Muha dropped 30 points to go along with 14 rebounds as the Panthers downed the Yellow Jackets.

North Star 44, Blacklick Valley 43: In Nanty Glo, Grace Metz recorded 16 points as the Cougars came from behind to edge the Vikings.

Rifle

Conemaugh Township 1,294, Portage 1,269: Lydia Boring and Sierra LaPorta each fired a 268 to lead Conemaugh Township past Portage.

Alex Boring shot a personal best 247 for Conemaugh Township.

North Star 1,287, Northern Cambria 1,141: Nicole Rininger fired a 272 to guide the Cougars past the Colts.

Cody Snoeberger shot a personal best 261 and Hayden Kobuck fired a 260 for North Star.

Berlin Brothersvalley 1,216, Rockwood 1,196: Levi Whipkey shot a personal best 258 as the Mountaineers upended the Rockets.

Dalton Maust shot a 250 while Will Jackson fired a personal best 237 for Berlin.

Alyssa Hunt paced Rockwood with a 254.

Dec. 20

Girls basketball

Turkeyfoot 60, Rockwood 57 (OT): In Rockwood, Ava Hair recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead the Rams over the Rockets.

Maleigha Younkin provided 17 points and 12 rebounds for Turkeyfoot.

Morgan Beckner led Rockwood with 15 points while Izzy Haer and Mollie Wheatley each tallied 14 points.

Wrestling

Somerset sweeps Greater Johnstown and Westmont Hilltop: The Golden Eagles took down the Trojans 55-18 and bested the Hilltoppers 51-18.

Austin Dewitt, Logan Baker, Garrett Marsh, Rowan Holmes and Wes Shaulis all picked up victories by fall for Somerset over Greater Johnstown.

Logan Baker won by a 6-4 decision for Somerset over Westmont Hilltop. Rowan Holmes, Zane Hagans and Michael Bridge picked up falls.

Dec. 19

Boys basketball

Rockwood 66, Conemaugh Valley 61: In East Taylor Township, Will Latuch netted 16 points as the Rockets knocked off the Blue Jays.

Josiah Rock scored 15 points while Christian Schrock added 14 points and Zeke Foy chipped in 12 for Rockwood.

Salisbury-Elk Lick 59, Ferndale 42: In Johnstown, Daulton Sellers poured in 25 points as the Elks bested the Yellow Jackets.

Lance Jones tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds for Salisbury.

Berlin Brothersvalley 79, Windber 45: In Windber, Craig Jarvis poured in 29 points, including seven 3-pointers, as the Mountaineers romped the Ramblers.

Pace Prosser scored 25 points while Ryan Blubaugh added 13 points for Berlin.

John Shuster scored nine points for Windber.

Conemaugh Township 65, Shanksville-Stonycreek 40: In Davidsville, Tanner Shirley tallied 21 points as Conemaugh Township topped Shanksville.

Declan Mainhart contributed 18 points Conemaugh Township.

Christian Musser netted 16 points for Shanksville while Michael Kipp added 10 points.

Blacklick Valley 72, Turkeyfoot Valley 45: In Nanty Glo, the Rams suffered a setback to the Vikings

Chris Kozlowski scored 14 points for Turkeyfoot.

Girls basketball

Berlin Brothersvalley 47, Fort Hill 40: In Berlin, Gracie Sechler dropped 23 points as the Mountaineers bested the Sentinels.

Jenny Countryman scored 11 points for Berlin.

Johnstown Christian 54, Centre County Christian 27: Unity Miller recorded 19 points to propel the Blue Jays to a victory.

Ellie Speigle had 16 points for Johnstown Christian.

Rifle

Conemaugh Township 1,297, Shanksville-Stonycreek 1,083: Sierra LaPorta fired a 278 to propel Conemaugh Township past Shanksville.

Noah Kretchman (269), Nathaniel Denault (254), Lydia Boring (253) and Brooke Slaza (personal best 243) helped lead the charge for Conemaugh Township.

Trinity Blough shot a 237 for Shanksville.

Swimming

Somerset swept by Central Cambria: The Golden Eagles fell to the Red Devils in the pool.

The Somerset girls suffered a 110-60 setback.

Carly Richard (50 free) and Isabella Basala (100 breaststroke) picked up individual victories for the Golden Eagles.

The Somerset boys were routed 111-56.

No Golden Eagles earned wins in the meet.

Dec. 16

Boys basketball

Westmont Hilltop 63, Windber 38: In Upper Yoder Township, the Ramblers suffered a non-conference setback to the Hilltoppers.

Windber was led by John Shuster's 16 points. Grady Klosky added 12 points.

Salisbury-Elk Lick 87, Johnstown Christian 21: In Hollsopple, Daulton Sellers dropped a game-high 40 points as the Elks rolled past the Blue Jays.

Lance Jones scored 19 points for Salisbury.

Jeremiah Taylor paced Johnstown Christian with 12 points.

Northern Garrett 67, Meyersdale 48: The Red Raiders suffered a non-conference setback.

Braden Kretchman scored a team-high 15 points for Meyersdale. Malachi Carr contributed 13 points while Tyler Sandy added 11 points.

Girls basketball

Shade 72, North Star 51: In Boswell, Jenna Muha poured in 50 points to top her own school record for points in a game as the Panthers bested the Cougars.

Muha set the previous mark with 48 in a game last season. Muha also recorded 27 rebounds and seven blocks. Hailee Chapman had 11 points.

Abby Barnick racked up 26 points while Grace Metz added 18 points for North Star.

Bishop McCort Catholic 57, Somerset 46: The Golen Eagles suffered an LHAC setback to the Crushers.

Eve Housley led Somerset with 18 points. Gracie Bowers contributed 12 points.

Rockwood 53, Conemaugh Valley 46: In East Taylor Township, Mollie Wheatley recorded a game-high 25 points to lead the Rockets over the Blue Jays.

Berlin Brothersvalley 42, Windber 28: In Windber, Gracie Sechler and Jen Countryman each tallied 10 points as the Mountaineers topped the Ramblers.

Lexie James led Windber with 11 points.

Blacklick Valley 54, Turkeyfoot Valley 37: In Nanty Glo, the Rams were upended by the Vikings.

Ava Hair led Turkeyfoot with 15 points.
