'Top that Super Bowl': Twitter is abuzz after No. 1 Purdue loses to Northwestern
Turns out this is the game of the week, which doesn't work for Purdue. Northwestern posts a win over a No. 1-ranked team for the first time in program history.
Northwestern rallies in the closing minutes under a barrage of Purdue turnovers, and the Wildcats beat the No. 1 Boilermakers 64-58. Purdue maintains a 2 1/2-game lead in the Big Ten standings, but Northwestern and Indiana are tied for second.

I believe Northwestern just punched its ticket on Feb. 12, which is only slightly harder to believe than aliens being shot down every day.

Northwestern just upset No. 1 Purdue.
Chris Collins was squarely on the Hot Seat this season, he lost his top two big men to Duke and UNC, and now the Wildcats are 18-7 and 9-5 in the Big Ten.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) February 12, 2023
Not really the fact that Purdue lost (Northwestern is OK) but how they lost (capsizing in the final three minutes, second half sloppiness overall) that stings.
