Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival: Head to the beach for this 17-day sand-sculpting festival that includes a children’s play area, street performers, artisans, live entertainment, fireworks on Saturday, sand-sculpting classes, demonstrations and the main event: the master sand-sculpting competition. Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival: The inaugural Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival consists of four separate ticketed events taking place throughout the week. The first three events are invitation only or only available to a limited number of people. The final event of the festival is the Grand Tasting. It is open to everyone and will be held in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Clearwater Threshers: The Threshers take on the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels.
