The Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2024 will take place in the Ukrainian capital on Feb. 7-8 with the theme "Resilience at the Cyber War".

This is the largest cybersecurity event in Ukraine in recent years, bringing together representatives of the government, technology companies, leading industry experts, and the cyber community.

The forum aims to rethink the Ukrainian experience of cyber warfare and use it to draw lessons for the development of strategies to increase resilience through modern technologies, diplomacy, international law, and active cyber defense.

The program of the event, which will take place on Feb. 7-8, covers a wide range of topics, including:

• The role of cybersecurity in modern warfare and cyber resilience: Ukraine's experience and lessons for the world

• Cyber warfare and international law: current approaches, gaps, and prospects

• Cyber diplomacy: synchronization of national interests with the global agenda of cyberspace and digital transformation policies

• Large public and private companies as an element of the state's cyber resilience

• Strengthening the resilience of the national cybersecurity system through education and capacity building

• Messenger security

• The role of cyber threat intelligence in ensuring the resilience of the state and business

• Development of innovative products in Ukraine

• Cybersecurity of regions

• Countering modern hybrid threats

The panel discussions and speeches will be attended by international experts, Ukrainian statesmen, cyber diplomats, representatives of technology companies, and Ukrainian businesses.

Top Ukrainian representatives will include:

• Oleksiy Danilov (Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine)

• Mykhailo Fedorov (Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development)

• Rustem Umerov (Minister of Defense)

• Dmytro Kuleba (Minister of Foreign Affairs)

• Serhiy Demediuk (Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council)

• Illya Vitiuk (Head of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection, SBU)

The event was launched by the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity (NCCC) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the U.S.-based Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global).

The forum will be supported by the U.S. Department of State.

The organizers plan to hold the event annually, creating a basis for the development of a powerful platform for sharing best practices, defining common strategies, and coordinating actions to combat cyber threats, strengthening international cooperation, and joining forces to increase global resilience in cyberspace.

The forum was organized by Ukraine’s SBU security service, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The technological partners are Cyber Unit Technologies and the Institute of Cyber Warfare Research (ICWR).
