The 70th annual Farmers' and Threshermen's Jubilee announces the winners of the following contests held during the Sept. 7 to 11 Jubilee in New Centerville.

Scarecrow contest

The Mt. Union Church Camp 502 Sons and Auxiliary of the Union Veterans of the Civil War sponsors the annual event.

Gate race: 1. Luke Miller on a 1912 8 1/2" by 10" Frick; 2. Scott Baker on a 1928 Peerless 50 horsepower; 3. Josh Henry on a 1917 Peerless 50 horsepower; 4. Mark Mull on a 1911 9 1/2" by 10" Frick.

Slow race: 1. Matthew Roberts on a 1/2 Scale Case; 2. Josh Henry on a 1917 Peerless; 3. Scott Baker on a 1928 Peerless 50 horsepower; 4. Mark Mull on a 1911 9 1/2" by 10" Frick; 5. Jessie Friedline on a 1921 Grayhound 24 horsepower.

The "Golden Peerless Award" was presented to Luke Miller on Markleton.

Next year's Farmers' and Threshermen's Jubilee will be Sept. 6 to 10.
