Topshop is selling a £39 midi dress that, no joke, looks like Rixo

When Topshop launched its spring/summer Idol collection, it wasn't long before our wishlists were feeling the love. Wallets, not so much.

One item that won’t be lingering in our baskets – because we need it, like, RN – is the mid-length Topshop floral dress, with a mixed-print design. It literally just dropped this week, but has already sold out in several sizes, so we reckon we've got another cult piece on our hands.

Made from patchwork floral crepe, it has a fluted bias-cut skirt, angel sleeves and turns to reveal a cut-out back. It's similar to the brand's sell-out Austin dress we were banging on about last year...and you remember how fast that baby sold out.

It's not hard to see why these pieces are so popular with shoppers. Obvs, they're gorge, but they also look just a little teeensy bit like popular brand Rixo – the London-based label loved by celebs such as Laura Whitmore, Holly Willoughby, Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie and Laura Jackson.

If you’ve got any summer events or weddings coming up, this midi is ideal. The fluted sleeves make it appropriate for more formal occasions, but the bright florals keep things feeling playful.

We'll be dressing it up with strappy sandals at parties and rocking it with everything from Doc Martens to trainers during the day.

Not that you need any convincing, but here’s a load of people in similar styles from Rixo (you know, gals on that contrast print and fluted silhouette vibe).

Obviously, we don’t have any street style pics of this particular Toshop dress just yet because it literally just dropped today, but watch this space because you’re about to see this item allllll over Instagram.
