Tori Kelly and her husband, André Murillo, shared good news on the former’s health after her hospitalization for blood clots over the weekend.

“Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger. Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers,” he wrote via an Instagram Story. “Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so much!”

On Thursday, Kelly updated her fans on Instagram, writing, “As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges. It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.”

She was slated to perform on Friday at The Roxy in Los Angeles following the release of her self-titled EP.

“Of course I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,” she added. “I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!”

As Blavity reported, the Grammy-winning singer was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after passing out while enjoying dinner with friends at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Kelly reportedly “passed out for a while” after her heart started beating rapidly at dinner on Sunday night. A source told TMZ the singer’s friends drove her to Cedars-Sinai rather than having an ambulance take her to a local downtown L.A. hospital.

Doctors found blood clots in the legs and lungs of the “Paper Hearts” singer, who reportedly slipped in and out of consciousness when first admitted to the hospital.

According to Hollywood Life, Kelly’s husband of five years shared a vague update on her heath on Monday. He shared a snippet of his wife’s 2021 song “Where Do I Fit In” with Justin Bieber. Murillo included the part of the song that says, “It’ll be alright.”

Kelly has an extensive resume in the music industry. Her signature soprano voice gained national recognition after an appearance on American Idol in 2010. She became a YouTube favorite with viral videos covering songs from various artists.

She released her first album, Unbreakable Smile, in 2015 and won two Grammys in 2019. Earlier this year, the native of Wildomar, California, released her first single in three years, “Missin U.”

On July 17, she posted on Instagram that she would drop a new project on July 28. The seven-song tracklist included Ayra Starr and Jon Bellion as featured artists.
