Tornado Leaves Trail of Destruction in Lee County

A tornado tore through Lee County, Mississippi, on December 16, causing severe damage to dozens of homes.

The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for parts of southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi on Monday as severe weather hit several southern states.

Mississippi Sen Chad McMahan said 35 homes were severely damaged and a church was destroyed in Guntown, Mississippi. “The salvage and rebuilding has already started,” he said. Credit: @BlakeIvy10 via Storyful
