The Bucks County tornado was one of at least six confirmed as of Monday in three states, and the only one confirmed in Pennsylvania, according to the NWS headquartered in Westampton, New Jersey.

Additional damage surveys were planned for Monday and may include the southern Bucks County, the weather service said. A more detailed summary of the Bucks County tornado was expected to be released later on Monday.

The Bucks County tornado developed as a line of fast-moving severe thunderstorms moved through the area around 6:46 p.m. Several trees were uprooted and snapped on the southside of Wrightstown. The tornado progressed southeast near Swamp Road, which reported heavy tree and wire damage.

"Rough night at Harvest Seasonal Grill Newtown last night," restaurant founder and CEO Dave Magrogan wrote in a Facebook post. "Tornado went through the parking lot. Our employees were safe, our guests were safe but some of the roof landed on our employees cars. Open for normal brunch, lunch, and dinner today! Glad our teams and guests are safe!"

The storm damage also closed part of Swamp Road in both directions between Helen Randle Park, near the BCCC campus and Liberty Drive for most of Sunday, according to Newtown Township police. The road reopened to traffic on Sunday night.

Bucks County Community College reported damage including destruction of an equipment shed, a set of bleachers pushed into a fence at a softball field and a parking lot gate knocked off its mount, Director of Campus Security Dennis McCauley said.

The most significant damage at the college involved toppled trees near the West entrance of the campus, and physical plant employees were checking building roofs for potential damage, McCauley said.
