Tornado-Warned Storm Damages Trees and Vehicles in Western Arkansas

A tornado-warned thunderstorm with winds reaching over 70 mph swept across western Arkansas on Monday, May 3, blowing down trees and power lines overnight across the region.

Footage shared by Van Buren resident Chrissy Bailey shows damage to her property caused by the storm. The first clip was taken at approximately 11:30 pm on Monday, according to Bailey. The daytime clips were filmed on Tuesday.

“We are completely blocked in from fallen trees,” Bailey wrote in a caption accompanying the second clip. “We can’t leave.”

“Four out of five of the vehicles on my property were severely damaged. At least two will be totaled,” Bailey told Storyful.
