Tornado warning ends for Ocean County; Thunderstorm watch for much of New Jersey
OCEAN COUNTY -The tornado warning issued for northwest Ocean County ended at 1:30 p.m. Friday, but severe thunderstorm warnings remain in effect, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service at Mt. Holly said that the severe thunderstorm warning remains until 2:15 p.m. for Ocean and southeastern Monmouth counties. A severe thunderstorm watch is in place until 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service at Mt. Holly said earlier that the radar had indicated a rotation embedded within a line of severe thunderstorms, potentially in the areas of Lakehurst, Manchester, Berkeley and McGuire Airport Space. The tornado warning expired at 1:30 p.m.

Monmouth and Ocean counties have been under severe thunderstorm watch for most of the day Friday.
