On July 22, community members will be able to meet the Coast Guard service members who help keep the country safe, break ice to keep shipping lanes open, do search and rescue missions, and take care of navigational aids and buoys throughout the Great Lakes. They will also learn about the service members who transfer in and out of Cheboygan every 2-3 years, hear stories about their previous stations, see line-throwing demonstrations and more.
